Students will study Spanish language and the histories and cultures of the USA and Canada and many of the nations of Latin America. We take beginners in Spanish and students with an A-level in Spanish. For beginners you can be someone with no Spanish or someone with a GCSE. Those of you with an A-level in Spanish may take beginners Portuguese in your first year after which you may carry it on to the final year. This gives you the chance to study Brazil in more depth. Our non-language modules in Hispanic Studies cover the history, politics and cultures of the Latin America, including the period of Spanish and Portuguese colonial expansion into the Americas. In American Studies, you will learn about the history, politics, literature and culture of Anglophone North America.

For 2021 entry, the application fee is £20 for a single choice, or £26 for more than one choice. This program only accepts candidates who have completed 12 years of school education. Otherwise, you are advised to complete 1 year of Bachelor's degree in your country or choose between International Foundation and International Year One programs.
