Animal Science

Studying animal science focuses on the health, productivity and care of managed animals. Students choose modules based on your interests, practical sessions and field trips bring your learning to life, learn from academics at the forefront of animal science research and gain practical animal handling experience including guinea pigs, horses, dogs, hens, and cows. Students can choose from four options: Bioveterinary Science, which examines the science behind animal health and disease, Physiology and Biotechnology study focuses on animal structure and function, including stem cell and developmental biology, in Livestock Production concentration students investigate the science of farm animal nutrition, productivity and fertility and in Ecology and Conservation, the major focus is on the science, management and welfare of zoo and captive animals.



For 2021 entry, the application fee is £20 for a single choice, or £26 for more than one choice. This program only accepts candidates who have completed 12 years of school education. Requirements may differ depending on the country you are located in, for further guidance you should view the university website. Otherwise, you are advised to complete 1 year of Bachelor's degree in your country or choose between International Foundation and International Year One programs.
