Archaeology and History of Art

This program will combine art history and archaeology techniques to explore our use of visual and material culture. Choose from modules spanning from classical civilisations to now. Field trips to local and national archaeological sites, museums and galleries are an important part of the course. You will also participate in 10 days of archaeological fieldwork. This will be in an approved excavation project or a related placement, in the UK or overseas. You can also gain valuable work experience in the University of Nottingham Museum or Nottingham Lakeside Arts. Our placement scheme extends to other local heritage organisations, museums and galleries.

An IB score of 32-30 is required. For 2021 entry, the application fee is 20 GBP for a single choice, or 26 GBP for more than one choice. This program only accepts candidates who have completed 12 years of school education. Requirements may differ depending on the country you are located in, for further guidance you should view the university website.
