Food Science and Nutrition

This course builds your knowledge in food, nutrition and physiology to explain the connection between diet and health. Students will understand the impact of food processing on nutritional value and food quality, develop the latest nutritional knowledge from academics working on international research, build skills in sensory evaluation and product development, and use our specialist labs and work on real-life research projects. In year three you'll apply your knowledge to develop a new food product. Working as teams, you'll use the food processing facility to create the finished product.



IB of 34-32 is required (including 5 in two science-based subjects at Higher Level). For 2021 entry, the application fee is 20 GBP for a single choice, or 26 GBP for more than one choice. This program only accepts candidates who have completed 12 years of school education. Requirements may differ depending on the country you are located in. Otherwise, you are advised to complete 1 year of Bachelor's degree in your country or choose between International Foundation and International Year One programs.
