Within the curriculum, the first year courses aim to build on the student’s fundamental language skills in English, such as reading, writing and verbal expression. Students will gain a full command of the language with an in-depth understanding of the grammatical rules. Courses in written and oral translation are introduced in the following semesters. Theoretical and applied translation courses start in the second year. These focus on written and oral translation proficiency in a range of specialist subject areas including medicine, law, economy, international trade, and European relations.

As this program is taughed in blended English/Turkish, TÖMER Level C1 or Yunus Emre Institute Turkish Proficiency Test 71 or Yaşar University Turkish FLAT Examination 65 is also required. A non-refundable application fee of USD50 is required by the university in order to process application. The deposit of USD1000 is required as soon as the conditional offer is issued.
