A MCounsStuds is a good fit if you seek to become a counsellor who assesses then assists clients to reach optimal well-being, want support for your understanding of developmental needs/suffering and want awareness of Te Ao Māori and a range of other approaches. When you join the Master of Counselling Studies, you’ll join a counsellor education qualification that is anchored in mana-enhancing practices. This includes: viewing differences as strengths and assets, affirming that each world view (Te Ao Maori, Western paradigms, and non-Western approaches) has its own whakapapa, roots and origins, its own mana and its own and unique relational influence and presence.

Keep in mind that this program is not offered as direct entry and requires completion of a pathway program. The tuition fee is estimated upon national currency and therefore, is subject to change. Moreover, it may also vary due to individual courses a student enrolls in.
